Arleta: Emergency Drill Prep and Planning

Greeting Everyone,
 
We will not be having a Fire Drill that was originally scheduled for this Friday, since we had a real earthquake evacuation this week. Instead, we will have a Fire Drill with evacuation on Thursday August 22, 2024 at 11:15a.m.. Due to iready testing and having a modified schedule, this will fall towards the end of period 1 and students will be dismissed for lunch at 11:35a.m.
 
Each teacher will be receiving an emergency folder containing the following:
  • Emergency drill descriptions and procedures
  • Tentative Emergency drill schedules for 2024-2025 school year
  • Evacuation map
  • Assembly map (field Layout)
  • Missing Person report
    Period 1 rosters
* ** Keep Emergency Folders handy in case of a real emergency***
 
Reminders:
  • EVERYONE must evacuate to the football field even if you have a conference period 
  • Teachers should face the scoreboard(west), students should face Beachy Street (east)
  • Classified and support staff report to the goal post by Beachy Street on the football field
  • Cafeteria, Student store and B&G staff report to the goal post by the score board on the football field
  • Administrators, counselors and teachers with a conference period report to your SLC.
Please review emergency procedures with your students. In the event of a real emergency, if students are in lunch time they need to report with their advisory teachers. Thank you for all you do to keep our students safe. Safety is everyone's responsibility!
