Hello! My name is Mr. Jonathan R. Garcia.

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. I'm Mr. Jonathan R. Garcia, and I'm thrilled to be starting my 16th year at Arleta High School. This year, I'll be leading courses in Statistics and Probability, AP Statistics, Introduction to Computer Science, Honors Algebra 2, and Honors Advanced Math. I also have the honor of serving as the chair of the Mathematics Department.

 

I am also the club sponsor for the California Scholarship Foundation (CSF), Computer Science for Good Club, and Esports for Good Club.

AP Statistics is now offered in the Spring Semester. Introduction to Computer Science combines block-based programming, SNAP, MIT App Inventor, VEX Robotics Programming, and text-based programming, such as Python. 

 

Undergraduate: Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Teaching at  Philippine Normal University. 

Graduate - Master's:  Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics Education at California State University, Northridge

Graduate - Doctoral: Doctor of Education in Educational Management at Philippine Christian University. 

I love traveling, taking walks and hikes, exercising, and working out at the gym.
