Arleta: Williams Sufficiency Certification

Hello Arleta Mustangs,

It's time for the Williams Sufficiency certification! According to District policy, every student—including English Learners and those in special day classes—must have access to a State/District-adopted, standards-based textbook or application for the following subjects: reading-language arts, history-social science, mathematics, science, health (Grades 6-7, 9), and foreign language (Grades 9-12). Each student should be assigned one textbook or application per subject for both home and classroom use.

To comply with California Education Code Section 60119, all teachers are required to submit an annual certification of textbook sufficiency. Please review the attached document and follow the instructions to complete and submit the Teachers Verification of Williams Sufficiency-Secondary form for your classes. The completed certifications must be submitted by Wednesday, August 21, 2024, no later than 3:45 p.m.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. Remember, digital resources are acceptable for Williams Sufficiency as long as students have access to a device and internet at home. Thank you to Mrs. Quezada-Rivas for being the first one to certify! If you need any assistance feel free to reach out to me.

Best regards,

Vilma Lopez

Assistant Principal
