Principal's Message
Dear Arleta High School community,
It is an honor to be your principal. I feel blessed to work with the best faculty and extremely caring and professional staff. My promise to you is to continue to work hard, apply the knowledge I have acquired through my years in education, and together continue to move our school AHS forward. Our students deserve the best school and we have what it takes here with all of us to give them the best.
My vision for 21st century instruction is that all students achieve academic excellence through a solid education, which offers them the opportunity to embrace and adapt to change, utilizing growth mindset skills, and solving problems through careful analysis. I want our students to be able to use appropriate technological resources and sources of information, so that eventually, they can give back to their own community, making the world better, one generation at a time.
Our world here at AHS is made of students, faculty, staff, and parents or guardians. I believe our parents or guardians are an important link between students and their school. I would like our parents to feel welcome, active members of our learning community. I will also foster a safe, nurturing environment for all by always listening attentively and empathically, making sure everyone knows someone cares about them.
Finally, my message to my students is “Education is the key that will open many doors to success”. Learning is much like a sport; you practice and then practice some more, until you perfect your craft. Maybe it comes easier to some, but it can be done by anyone who puts their mind to it.
Go Mustangs!
