Teaching and Learning Schedule (Procedures and Expectations):

 

As of Thursday, April 2, Mester 4 will start at Arleta High School and we will follow our new online teaching and learning plan. Teachers will utilize a combination of Schoology and Google apps, as well as email, in order to communicate with students and parents. Our web site www.arletahigh.net will have the latest information posted as well, so everyone can access the necessary resources.

We have adopted a new daily schedule to be held Monday through Thursday every week we are doing online teaching and learning. There will be a block of time for each subject (English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Language, and Electives) daily, leaving Friday as a day to check-in with Advisory and a “Catch Up Day” for both teachers and students, as follows:

 

SCHEDULE FOR MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY:

8:30 am – 9:30 am       English

9:30 am – 10:30 am     Math

10:30 am – 11:30 am   Social Studies

11:30 am – 12:30 am   Science

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm    Lunch

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm      Foreign Language

2:00 pm – 2:30 pm      Electives, Physical Education, and Learning Lab

***On Tuesdays, we will hold PD from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm, utilizing a platform like Zoom

***On Fridays, check-in with your Advisory Class in the morning and leave the rest of the day to catch up on your work, grading, contacting students through email, and other tasks as necessary. Friday might also be a good time for students to submit assignments to their teachers.

Teachers will inform students about their procedures for each class. Students need to check their Schoology classes to make sure they get the information from each of their teachers. Teachers will inform students about dates and times for class activities, which include: online discussions with students, office hours to ask questions or clarify information about assignments, and how to get additional help for specific needs of students, etc.

Students need to check their emails and messages from each class on a daily basis and whenever they do not meet with their teachers online, they still responsible to work on their assignments and to email teachers in case they need to seek individual help during their class time.

Horario de Classes (Procedimientos para Clases en Internet):                 

 

A partir del jueves, 2 de abril, empieza el Mester 4 en la Escuela Preparatoria Arleta y tendremos que seguir el nuevo horario y plan de clases por internet. Los maestros utilizaran una combinacion de Schoology y applicaciones de Google, asi como tambien el correo electronico del distrito para comunicarse con los estudiantes y los padres de familia. Tendremos la ultima informacion en nuestra pagina de internet www.arletahigh.net en donde podran ver las noticias importantes.

 

Nuestro nuevo horario de clases se seguira de lunes a jueves para cada clase (Ingles, Matematicas, Estudios Sociales o Historia, y Ciencia, Lenguaje en Espanol o Frances, y clases electivas, asi como Educacion Fisica) todos los dias, por una hora al dia. El Viernes sera el dia que los maestros se comunicaran con su clase de Advisory y tendran el resto del dia para trabajar en calificar, regresar mensajes a los alumnus, y otras responsabilidades del trabajo.

***Los martes los maestros colaboraran a traves del internet de 2:30 pm a 3:45 pm, utilizando Zoom

 

***Los viernes los maestros se comunicaran con los alumnus de Advisory en la manana y quedara el resto del dia para calificar, mandar correos electronicos a los estudiantes, y otras responsabilidades de su profesion. El viernes tambien sera un buen dia para que los estudiantes manden sus tareas y proyectos a sus maestros a traves de Schoology o de su correo electronico, de acuerdo a la forma que sus maestros le indiquen.

 

Los maestros van a indicar a sus estudiantes los procedimientos a seguir para cada clase. Los estudiantes tendran que checar Schoology y su correo electronico diariamente para saber cuando tienen que comunicarse con cada maestro por internet.
