Operational Policies

Change of Address, Telephone, Emergency or Parents Work Numbers
Students must report a change of address or telephone number to their SLC Office within 30 days of the change.

Identification Cards
Students are required to carry their Student Identification Card at all times when on campus or at  school activities, and must show it upon request.  ID cards will be required to check out library books and may be needed for other services while on campus.   

Eating Areas
All students must remain in the designated student dining room, plaza, or covered lunch area when eating breakfast or lunch.  NO FOOD OR DRINKS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDINGS OR CLASSROOMS AT ANY TIME.

Eligibility for Co-Curricular Activities
To be eligible to participate in co-curricular activities (sports, cheer, dance, band etc.) a student must maintain a minimum of a “C” average (2.0). This is district policy.

Messages and Deliveries
No message or delivery service will be allowed to enter any classroom.  Students are not allowed to bring balloons, flowers, etc. to school or to accept these items while on the school campus.  Any such items will be confiscated and kept in the SLC Office until the end of the day.

Star Test Participation
All students in grades two (2) through eleven (11) will take the STAR Program tests, including students who are English learners and student with disabilities.  Students who fail to participate in the STAR testing program may lose the privilege to participate in their graduation ceremony.

California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE)
The CAHSEE subject areas are English-Language Arts and Mathematics.  All students are required to take the CAHSEE for the first time in the tenth (10) grade.  Students who do not pass one or both parts of the CAHSEE in the 10th grade will be given up to five additional opportunities to take the test.  Students retake only the part(s) of the exam not passed. 

Student Parking 
There is NO student parking on campus.  Students who drive to school must find parking on adjacent streets.  The school is not responsible for vandalism or theft to any vehicle.  CARS PARKED ON CAMPUS WITHOUT A PASS WILL BE TICKETED.
