Tardy Policy

  • Arleta High Tardy Policy

     

    School attendance and punctuality is vital to students’ achievement.   Students who develop patterns of good attendance and punctuality are much more likely to be successful both academically and socially. At Arleta every student is expected to be in class and punctual. Arleta’s Tardy Policy is aimed at addressing and supporting student punctuality.

     

    Tardy Policy Progressive Discipline Breakdown

     

    1ST Tardy:         Student counseled by Mediation Room Dean. Parent notified by Connect-Ed.

     

    2nd Tardy:         Lunch Paper Pick-Up assigned by Mediation Room Dean. Parent notified

                             by Connect-Ed.

     

    3rd Tardy:         Lunch Detention assigned by Mediation Room Dean. Parent notified by

                            Connect-Ed.

     

    4th Tardy:         Student assigned Campus Beautification. Counselor notified. Parent notified by letter home.

     

    5th Tardy:       Parent Conference arranged by Dean. Student serves In-House            

                              Suspension in Mediation Room.

                                                    2 periods – Math & English

                                                      2 periods – Campus Beautification

    Parent conference arranged by Dean. Conference to include Student,

                            Parent and Referral Room Dean. Student placed on Contract.


*Tardies are accumulated per Mester.
