Four motivated students by the names of Richard Hams Avila Sanchez, Gabriel Ortiz, Angel Barahona and Maria Alicia Mendez Ramos shared their stories about being ELD, refugee students.There are two reasons why this video was created. First, it gave the ELD students an opportunity to tell their stories, express their emotion and allow the trauma that they had gone through to be released. Second, it gave the community of Arleta High School an opportunity to witness the struggles the ELD students go through. More people should understand these types of hard working students because our community is built with a lot of people like them.
